Drag-and-Drop Sorting

Robo Gallery offers several convenient ways to sort and reorder images in your galleries. Depending on your workflow and preferences, you can use drag-and-drop sorting directly in the media manager, in the gallery image preview, or choose a specific sorting method in gallery settings.

1. Sorting in Media Manager

Inside the Media Manager, you can manually change the display order of uploaded images by dragging and dropping them into the desired positions.

Simply open your gallery, click Manage Images, and in the “Edit Gallery” window - drag thumbnails to reorder them as shown below:

This is the fastest way to visually organize images in a custom sequence.

In the main gallery settings section, under the large green Manage Images button, you will see a thumbnail preview strip showing all uploaded images.

You can also drag and drop these mini-thumbnails to change their order right there - without opening the Media Manager.

Manage Images Thumbnails

This small but powerful control lets you quickly adjust the image order with a single move.

In addition to manual reordering, Robo Gallery lets you define an automatic sorting rule for how images appear on the front end of your site.

In the gallery options panel, open the General tab and locate the Order by dropdown.

Available sorting modes:

  • Order Index Ascending - show images by manual order (lowest to highest).
  • Order Index Descending - reverse manual order.
  • Title Ascending / Descending - sort alphabetically by title.
  • Date Ascending / Descending - sort by upload date.
  • Random - display images in random order each time the page loads.
