Duplicating a Gallery

Duplicating a gallery in Robo Gallery is a fast and convenient way to reuse an existing gallery structure without recreating it from scratch.

This feature is especially useful when you want to create similar galleries with minor differences in content, layout, or design.

When to Duplicate a Gallery#

Gallery duplication is recommended when you want to:

• Create multiple galleries with the same layout and settings
• Test new design options without affecting the original gallery
• Reuse a gallery structure for different pages or categories
• Speed up the creation of large numbers of galleries

How to Duplicate a Gallery#

To duplicate an existing gallery:

1. Go to WordPress Admin → Robo Gallery → Manage Galleries
2. Hover over the gallery you want to duplicate
3. Click Clone

A new gallery will be created instantly.

What Gets Duplicated#

When you clone a gallery, Robo Gallery copies:

• All images assigned to the gallery
• Image order and sorting
• Image settings (titles, captions, descriptions, tags, links, video links)
• Gallery layout and grid settings
• Lightbox and hover effects
• All visual and behavioral options

The duplicated gallery is completely independent from the original one.

Editing the Duplicated Gallery#

After duplication, you can:

• Change the gallery title
• Add or remove images
• Modify layout or design options
• Adjust image links or video sources
• Use a different shortcode placement

Changes made to the duplicated gallery do not affect the original gallery.

Using the New Gallery#

Each duplicated gallery receives its own unique shortcode, for example:

You can insert this shortcode into:

• Pages
• Posts
• Widgets
• Elementor
• Gutenberg blocks

This allows you to reuse the same structure while displaying different content.

• Duplicating a gallery does not duplicate media files in the WordPress Media Library
• Only gallery configuration and image assignments are copied
