YouTube Gallery Type

Robo Gallery includes a dedicated YouTube Gallery Type designed for displaying YouTube videos in a gallery layout.

This gallery type automatically loads videos from YouTube and creates a responsive video grid.

The YouTube gallery is ideal for displaying:

  • YouTube channels
  • YouTube playlists
  • selected videos by ID

Setting Up YouTube Gallery

To create a YouTube gallery:

  1. Click Add New Gallery
  2. Select YouTube as the gallery type
  3. Click Create Gallery

After creating the gallery, open YouTube Gallery Settings.

YouTube Content Modes

You can choose how videos are imported using the YouTube Content Mode setting.

Available modes:

  • Channel
  • Playlist
  • Videos by ID

Channel Mode

Channel mode loads videos directly from a YouTube channel.

To use this mode:

  1. Select Channel
  2. Enter the YouTube Channel ID
  3. Save the gallery

The gallery will automatically import videos from the channel.


Playlist Mode

Playlist mode loads videos from a YouTube playlist.

Steps:

  1. Select Playlist
  2. Enter the Playlist ID
  3. Save the gallery

All videos from the playlist will appear in the gallery.


Videos by ID Mode

This mode allows you to manually define the videos that should appear in the gallery.

YouTube video IDs

Enter video IDs in the YouTube Content IDs field.

Each line represents one YouTube video.


YouTube API Key

To use the YouTube gallery, you must configure a YouTube API key.

YouTube API settings

Go to:

Robo Gallery → Settings → Youtube API

Paste your YouTube API Key into the field and save the settings.

This allows Robo Gallery to retrieve video data such as:

  • titles
  • thumbnails
  • video lists

When to Use YouTube Gallery

YouTube Gallery is recommended when you want to display:

  • an entire YouTube channel
  • a playlist
  • a curated list of videos

For single videos inside regular galleries, you can simply use Video Links instead.


Tips

  • Use Playlist mode for curated video collections.
  • Use Channel mode for automatic content updates.
  • Use Videos by ID when you want full control over which videos appear in the gallery.
