Supported Video Sources

Robo Gallery allows you to display videos inside galleries by attaching video links to gallery items. When users click a thumbnail, the video opens inside the gallery lightbox.

Supported video sources depend on the gallery type.

Video Sources in Classic Galleries

Classic gallery types support the most common video platforms.

Supported sources:

  • YouTube
  • Vimeo

Example links:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID
https://vimeo.com/VIDEO_ID

When one of these links is added to the Video field, Robo Gallery automatically detects the platform and loads the video player inside the lightbox.

Video Sources in Fusion Gallery (V5)

Fusion Grid galleries support additional video providers.

Supported platforms include:

  • YouTube
  • Vimeo
  • Facebook
  • Twitch
  • SoundCloud
  • Wistia

Simply paste the video URL into the Video field in the Media Manager and Robo Gallery will handle the embed automatically.

Adding Video Links

To attach a video to a gallery item:

  1. Open your gallery
  2. Launch the Media Manager
  3. Select an image
  4. Paste the video URL into the Video field
  5. Save the gallery

After this, clicking the thumbnail will open the video in the lightbox player.

Mixing Video and Image Content

Robo Gallery allows mixing different content types inside the same gallery.

A gallery can contain:

  • standard images
  • images with video links
  • images with external links

This makes it possible to build:

  • video portfolios
  • media galleries
  • tutorials
  • product showcases
  • mixed image/video galleries

When to Use YouTube Gallery Type

If you want to display many videos from a channel or playlist, consider using the dedicated YouTube Gallery type.

The YouTube gallery can automatically generate galleries from:

  • YouTube channels
  • YouTube playlists
  • lists of video IDs

This is ideal for large video collections.
