Replacing Images

The Media Manager in Robo Gallery allows you to easily manage and replace existing images inside your gallery. This tool lets you add new photos, remove unwanted ones, and edit all related information - without needing to recreate the gallery from scratch.

1. Accessing the Media Manager#

To replace or update images, open your gallery and click the Manage Images button. This will open the Media Manager window.

Here, you can:

• Add new images from the WordPress Media Library or upload new files from your computer.
• Delete images that you no longer want in the gallery.
• Reorder existing images using simple drag-and-drop sorting.
• Edit image parameters such as title, caption, tags, description, and links.

2. Editing Image Details#

When you select an image inside the Media Manager, the sidebar on the right displays additional options. These options allow you to configure how each image behaves on the front end.

You can update:

• Title – changes the main label of the image.
• Caption – short text displayed below the image.
• Description – detailed text used in the Lightbox view.
• Alt Text – improves accessibility and SEO.
• Tags – for filtering or organizing large galleries.
• Link / Video Link – define where an image should redirect or which video should open in Lightbox (available in PRO version).

3. Replacing an Existing Image#

To replace an image while keeping its metadata:

1. Open the Media Manager.
2. Locate the image you want to replace.
3. Click Add to gallery and upload the new version of the image.
4. Remove the old one if necessary, or simply reorder them.
5. Click Update Gallery to save changes.

This approach ensures that your gallery structure and settings remain intact.
