Video Gallery Overview

Robo Gallery supports multiple ways to display videos inside galleries.

You can create video galleries using:

  1. Dedicated YouTube gallery type
  2. Video links attached to images inside regular galleries

This allows you to build galleries that include:

  • images
  • videos
  • external links

All inside the same gallery.


YouTube Gallery Type

Robo Gallery includes a dedicated YouTube gallery type designed specifically for displaying videos.

YouTube gallery type

This gallery automatically generates a video gallery from YouTube sources.

Supported modes:

  • Channel
  • Playlist
  • Videos by ID

YouTube Content Modes

Inside the gallery settings you can choose how videos are loaded.

YouTube gallery settings

Channel

Displays videos from a YouTube channel.

You only need to enter the Channel ID, and the gallery will automatically fetch the videos.


Playlist

Displays videos from a YouTube playlist.

Simply provide the playlist ID and Robo Gallery will generate the gallery automatically.


Videos by ID

This mode allows you to manually specify individual video IDs.

Each ID represents one YouTube video.


YouTube API Key

To use YouTube galleries you must configure a YouTube API key.

YouTube API settings

Navigate to:

Robo Gallery → Settings → Youtube API

Paste your API key into the Youtube Api Key field.

This allows Robo Gallery to retrieve video data from YouTube.


Adding Videos to Regular Galleries

Videos can also be used in any gallery type, including:

  • Fusion Grid (V5)
  • Grid
  • Masonry
  • Mosaic
  • Polaroid
  • Slider

Inside the Media Manager, each gallery item supports a Video link field.

Video link field

When a video link is added:

  • clicking the image will open the video in the lightbox

Mixing Images, Links, and Videos

Robo Gallery allows mixing different types of items in a single gallery.

A gallery can include:

Image items

Standard images that open inside the lightbox.

Images that open external pages instead of the lightbox.

Video items

Images that open videos inside the lightbox.

This makes it possible to build:
