Video Settings
Robo Gallery allows you to configure how videos behave inside galleries. Videos can be attached to individual gallery items and displayed in the lightbox player when users click the thumbnail.
Video settings are configured per gallery item in the Media Manager.

Adding a Video to a Gallery Item
To attach a video to an image:
- Open your gallery
- Launch the Media Manager
- Select an image
- Paste the video URL into the Video field
- Click Add to gallery
Once saved, clicking the image will open the video in the lightbox.
Video Field Behavior
The Video field defines what happens when a gallery item is clicked.
Possible behaviors:
Image without video
If the Video field is empty:
- the image opens normally in the lightbox viewer
Image with video link
If a video link is provided:
- the thumbnail remains an image
- clicking it opens the video player in the lightbox
Image with external link
If the Link field is used instead:
- clicking the image opens an external page
- the lightbox will not open
Supported Video Platforms
Supported platforms depend on the gallery type.
Classic Galleries
Supported providers:
- YouTube
- Vimeo
Fusion Grid (V5)
Fusion galleries support additional platforms:
- YouTube
- Vimeo
- Twitch
- SoundCloud
- Wistia
Simply paste the video URL into the Video field and Robo Gallery will automatically embed the player.
Mixing Content Types
A single gallery can contain different types of items:
- standard images
- images with video links
- images with external links
This allows you to build flexible galleries combining images, videos, and external content.
Best Practices
- Use clear thumbnails that represent the video.
- Avoid mixing too many different video providers in one gallery.
- For large video collections, consider using the YouTube Gallery Type instead.
