Inserting Galleries into Posts/Pages

Robo Gallery provides several flexible ways to insert galleries into your website content. You can add a gallery to posts, pages, or templates using shortcodes, blocks, or popular page builders.

This allows you to use the same gallery in multiple places and easily manage content from a single source.

Using Shortcodes

Every gallery automatically generates a shortcode after it is created.

How to find the shortcode

  1. Go to Robo Gallery → Manage Galleries
  2. Locate your gallery in the list
  3. Copy the shortcode from the Shortcode column Example: [robo-gallery id=22]

Insert shortcode into a post or page

You can paste the shortcode into:

  • WordPress Classic Editor
  • Gutenberg Shortcode block
  • Elementor shortcode widget
  • Any text or HTML editor

After saving or publishing the page, the gallery will be rendered automatically.

Using Gutenberg Blocks

Robo Gallery fully supports the Gutenberg editor.

Steps

  1. Open a post or page in Gutenberg
  2. Click Add Block (+)
  3. Search for Robo Gallery
  4. Select the Robo Gallery block
  5. Choose an existing gallery from the dropdown list

The gallery preview will appear directly inside the editor.

Using Elementor

Robo Gallery can be inserted into Elementor layouts in multiple ways.

Option 1: Shortcode Widget

  1. Open the page in Elementor
  2. Drag the Shortcode widget
  3. Paste your gallery shortcode
  4. Update the page

If the Robo Gallery widget is available in your version, simply:

  1. Drag the Robo Gallery widget
  2. Select the gallery from the list
  3. Adjust layout options if needed

Using Widgets (Sidebars & Footers)

You can also insert galleries into widget areas.

  1. Go to Appearance → Widgets
  2. Add a Text or Shortcode widget
  3. Paste the gallery shortcode
  4. Save the widget

This is useful for sidebars, footers, or custom widget areas.

Each gallery has its own permalink.

  • Open the gallery in Edit Gallery
  • Use the Permalink displayed under the title
  • Click View to see the gallery as a standalone page

This is useful for:

  • Portfolio pages
  • Gallery landing pages
  • Sharing gallery links directly

Best Practices

  • Use Fusion Grid (V5) for modern responsive layouts
  • Reuse galleries via shortcode instead of duplicating them
  • Use shortcodes for maximum compatibility across editors
  • Preview pages after insertion to verify layout and spacing

Robo Gallery gives you full flexibility when embedding galleries, allowing you to choose the method that best fits your workflow and page builder.
