Managing Existing Galleries

Once you have created one or more galleries, Robo Gallery provides a convenient interface for managing them directly from the WordPress admin panel.

All existing galleries are listed in one place, allowing you to quickly edit, duplicate, reuse, or remove them.

To manage your galleries, go to:

WordPress Admin → Robo Gallery → Manage Galleries

On this page, you will see a table with all created galleries. Each gallery entry displays:

  • Gallery title
  • Gallery type (Grid, Fusion Grid, Masonry, etc.)
  • Author
  • Publish date
  • View counter
  • Gallery shortcode

This overview allows you to quickly identify and manage galleries even on large websites with many items.

To edit a gallery:

  1. Hover over the gallery title
  2. Click Edit

This opens the gallery editor where you can:

  • Change the gallery type
  • Add or remove images
  • Reorder images
  • Modify image options (titles, captions, links, videos, tags, etc.)
  • Adjust layout, grid, and lightbox settings

All changes can be previewed and saved instantly.

Quick Actions

Each gallery provides several quick actions directly from the list view:

  • Edit – Open the full gallery editor
  • Quick Edit – Quickly change basic properties such as title or status
  • View – Open the gallery on the front end
  • Copy – Create an exact duplicate of the gallery
  • Trash – Move the gallery to trash

These actions allow you to manage galleries efficiently without opening the full editor every time.

Duplicating and Cloning Galleries

The Copy option is especially useful when you want to:

  • Reuse an existing gallery layout
  • Create variations of the same gallery
  • Experiment with settings without affecting the original gallery

Cloned galleries include:

  • Image settings
  • Layout and design options

You can then modify the cloned gallery independently.

Using Shortcodes

Each gallery has its own unique shortcode, for example:

[robo-gallery id=22]

You can copy the shortcode directly from the gallery list and use it in:

  • Posts
  • Pages
  • Custom post types
  • Widgets
  • Page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, etc.)

This makes it easy to reuse the same gallery in multiple places.

Deleting Galleries

If a gallery is no longer needed:

  • Click Trash to move it to the trash
  • Galleries can be restored or permanently deleted later

Deleting a gallery does not remove images from the WordPress Media Library — only the gallery configuration itself.

Best Practices

  • Use meaningful gallery titles to make management easier
  • Clone galleries instead of recreating them from scratch
  • Keep unused galleries in draft or trash to keep the list clean
  • Reuse shortcodes instead of duplicating content unnecessarily
