CDN & Cache Considerations

Caching and content delivery systems can significantly affect how fast galleries load on your website.

Robo Gallery includes its own built-in gallery cache, and it can also work together with common WordPress caching plugins.

However, CDN support is currently limited, and full CDN compatibility is under active development.

Robo Gallery Built-in Cache

Robo Gallery includes a gallery cache system that improves performance by storing generated gallery data.

When cache is enabled:

  • gallery layout is generated once
  • cached resources are reused
  • page loading becomes faster

You can enable cache inside the gallery settings.

Gallery → Options → Cache

After changing gallery settings, Robo Gallery automatically regenerates the cache.

WordPress Cache Plugins

Robo Gallery works well with most WordPress caching plugins.

Common examples include:

  • WP Rocket
  • W3 Total Cache
  • WP Super Cache
  • LiteSpeed Cache

These plugins cache the entire page, which helps galleries load faster for visitors.

If you use aggressive caching, remember to clear the cache after updating galleries.

CDN Usage

At the moment Robo Gallery does not include native CDN integration.

Some CDN configurations may work depending on how your server delivers images and static assets, but full CDN compatibility is still being improved.

We are currently working on future improvements that will allow better CDN support and asset delivery optimization.

Recommended Setup

For best performance today:

  • enable Robo Gallery cache
  • use a WordPress caching plugin
  • optimize image sizes
  • enable Lazy Load

This setup provides excellent performance even without CDN integration.

Future Improvements

CDN compatibility and advanced asset optimization are planned for future versions of Robo Gallery.

These improvements will allow galleries to load even faster when combined with modern content delivery networks.
